10:00-11:00: The Abyssal Crusade

The Abyssal Crusade has come. 30 Chapters of Astartes have been found wanting by Saint Basillius and given one chance to prove their fervour; to launch a Penitent Crusade into the Eye itself. Cast to the winds by the Gods of Chaos, these brave souls fight on countless Daemon Worlds, in hundreds of doomed campaigns, glorious last stands and impossible victories. The tally of the slain is outshone only by the ranks of the corrupted. Choose a seminal moment from the Abyssal Crusade or forge your own. Show a Chapter falling to their flaws or persevering against all odds.

We’ll be collecting short and flash fiction set around the Abyssal Crusade at conventionsecundus@gmail.com and publishing it in whatever state it comes to us in on this very website in the new year. This first hour will be us launching the project after a fashion.

11:15-12:15: Rob Sanders’ brains.

Our legal team insists that the notion of eating Rob’s brains to obtain his knowledge is metaphorical and not a promise made by the convention organisers. Bring your own cutlery.

12:30-13:30 – Archaon vs Abaddon baddest of the bad.

We’re 90% certain this is actually about who is objectively best at being the bad guy but it really depends on the context and situations that the moderator puts forward to the advocates. Archaon’s advocate will be Rob Sanders author of Archaon: Everchosen and Archaon: Lord of Chaos.” Abaddon by Horus Heresy loremaster and Black Library editor Laurie Goulding

13:30-14:30 – Break for Lunch

14:30-15:30 –TBC

15:45-16:45- “The Schism, alternate fictions and fan fiction: How it fits in with the wider IP.”

The team behind the fan fiction alternate Heresy “The Sanguinian Schism” discuss their works, their plans and why the IP is good for this sort of thing.

17:00-18:00- Betrayal at Calth.

Rob Sanders, Laurie Goulding and David Annandale (via the internet) discuss the novels  ‘The Honoured’ and ‘The Unburdened’ which tie into the new boxed game “Betrayal at Calth”.
